Welcome to the AIChE T.I.E.T Student Chapter
AIChE TIET Student Chapter Panel 2020-21
Hello Everyone. I am Abhishek Jain Student President of the AIChE TIET student chapter. I am pursuing BE in Chemical Engineering from Thapar Institute, Patiala. I opted for chemical engineering because I have a great interest in physics and maths and chemical engineering is mainly about the application of chemistry along with physics and mathematics. I have been the part of AIChE for more than a year and I have learned many things being a part of it and I would love to grab all the opportunities that will come across.
Student Vice President
Hello everyone! Myself Riya Kansal student vice president of the AIChE TIET student chapter. I am currently pursuing a B.E. chemical from the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. I have been a part of the AIChE student chapter for 2 years. Last year, I served this chapter as the event head. It built up my confidence, communication skills, leadership. Being fervent about subjects like chemistry and mathematics, I was looking for the branch that combined both these along with lab experiments with chemicals, so I opted chemical branch. Being vice president, I look forward to grabbing all the qualitative opportunities to push this chapter to the next level.
Greetings to everyone, Myself Aditya Nagori, I am a B.E student pursuing Chemical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and technology. Being the Secretary of the AIChE TIET student chapter I ensure full enthusiasm in our team for coming events, competitions, seminars. Moreover, I make certain that each member keeps active participation in the group and is non-hesitant to share his or her idea with the team. I feel the Chemical Engineering branch is one of the most fascinating and diverse branches of all, thereby my heed for this branch is increasing day by day as I explore more about it. And this is where I feel AIChE helps me to get connected with my branch more and more. Briefly, to conclude I would also like to mention if anyone wants to dig deep in the world of science and technology, the Chemical Engineering branch is their way in. Cheers!
Hey i am Sudhanyu Dimri student treasurer of AIChE 2020-2021 first when I joined AIChE I didn’t knew much about it but when time passes i came to know how the student chapter works and how it benefits young chemical engineers and it also focuses on soft skills which would help you in your daily life.
ESC Regional Chapter Liaison
Hello everyone! I am Arushi Saxena, ESC Chapter Liaison of the AIChE TIET student chapter. I chose chemical engineering because I felt that it was where I could contribute to nature. It is a branch that ensures that each and every component of a substance is used to its full extent with minimum wastage by focusing on increasing the efficiency of the non-renewable resources. Through AIChE, I’ve got an opportunity to delve into this field to stretch my boundaries and grow as an individual. Looking forward to master and gain experience in this discipline.
Hello everyone, I'm Aditi Verma, Design Head of AICHE TIET Student Chapter. Bear with me for thinking this way but don't you think that designing and Chemical Engineering go hand in hand? It sounds like a reach but think about it. Chemical Engineering is all about structures, diagrams, and phases. Basically, illustrations hold more meaning than words themselves. Designing is the same! You convey your thoughts and expressions illustratively and vibrantly, which is what makes it all the more amazing, the very irony of it all. I have always been fascinated by the very science behind Chemical Engineering. Exceptions never seemed to bother me as I just accepted them as yet another randomness in the universe we are all a grain of! It gives me great enthusiasm and pleasure in doing the very things I have always loved and embraced with open arms. I will strive to express my thoughts as the Designing head in the most aesthetically beautiful and captivating way possible. I look forward to enhance my skills n give my best to the AIChE team.
Hello everyone!! This is Arshit Bhatia from BE chemical engineering. Currently, I'm holding the position of Content officer in the AIChE TIET student chapter. My journey with Chemical Engineering started because of my father, as he established a business of Industrial chemicals. I used to visit Industrial plants and factory sites which gradually increased my interest in this field. My main aim is to explore this field and get an in-depth knowledge of this branch. Joining AIChE was one of the best decisions for achieving my goals. Further looking to give my best to this chapter.
I will serve to the best of my ability and make each and every event as knowledgeable, interesting, and fun as I could. I strongly believe a person with knowledge is stronger than a person of just power.
K-12 Program Head
Hi everyone ! I am Arush Aggarwal, a first-year chemical branch student. When I came up with the idea that I want to do a Btech degree, I was confused about which branch should I choose. I decided to choose something different, something which isn't everywhere so I chose chemical engineering. I joined AIChE to explore my branch, to observe the possibilities in it as I am a keen observer, and most importantly improve my connections with people in my branch around the world. Moreover, seeing the type of events organized by AIChE I was quite attracted since I had never such a fusion of technical things with cultural things.
Hey, guys, I am Jayant Arora, the webmaster for this academic year I joined AIChE last year to explore and deepen my knowledge in my chemical engineering field. I have not only learned about it but also about team building, event management, and designing. I would continue to work hard to take the chapter to the next level and help my fellow chemical engineers and team members to explore, learn, and embark on this wonderful journey of being a chemical engineer.
Hey all! I am Lokeshwar Puri, Event Head of the AIChE TIET student chapter. I am currently pursuing BE. Chemical from Thapar Institute. I opted for this branch because I like research work as well as interested in doing lab experiments. I have been a part of AIChE for one year. I observed some changes in myself, most importantly I built some confidence in myself after interacting with seniors. I also learned how to conduct a successful event and how to manage everything. It feels great to become the Event Head and hope I will not disappoint the seniors and together we’ll be able to take our chapter to the next level.
Hello, Everyone! I am Bhavesh Vyas, K-12 Program head of the AIChE TIET Student Chapter. I am in Bachelor of Chemical Engineering.
